Did you know it is completely illegal to hire your neighbor's nephew that got a drone for Christmas to take your aerial listing photos? The FAA requires that anyone using a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) for "commercial purposes" be Part 107 Certified. Taking aerial photo and/or videos of a Real Estate Listing is considered commercial purposes because ultimately, the home will be sold and money will exchange hands. Anything used in the marketing of that listing is considered commercial purposes... So even if you don't directly pay the person to shoot the aerial photos and/or videos, they are still required to have a Part 107. In addition, the minimum age allowed by law for someone to fly a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is 16 years of age. So, it is not worth the risk of breaking the law and potentially losing your real estate license.
